HARRISONVILLE — The Vicky Hartzler for Congress campaign has named Sheila Stokes-Begley leader of Gun Owners for Vicky, the Hartzler campaign’s coalition which advises Vicky on Second Amendment issues and matters related to gun owners’ rights.
Stokes-Begley, a member of the National Rifle Association, is the president of Western Missouri Shooters Alliance, which has been a steadfast supporter of Hartzler and has endorsed her candidacy.
“Vicky Hartzler has been, is and will be with us in fighting to preserve our Second Amendment rights in every way possible,” stated Stokes-Begley in expressing the organization’s support for Hartzler. “She had a 100 percent voting record with the NRA when she served in the Missouri House. She is a constitutional conservative who will be our best and strongest voice in Washington, D.C. for gun rights and freedoms.”
The coalition has been successful is publicizing Vicky Hartzler’s passion and support for the Second Amendment and was instrumental in last week’s 4th District tour by Gun Owners of America to promote gun owners’ rights and to talk up its endorsement of Hartzler as the candidate who will best represent gun owners and our Second Amendment rights in the halls of Congress.
Vicky and Lowell Hartzler live near Harrisonville in Cass County, where they operate a diversified crop and livestock family farming operation. They own Hartzler Equipment Company, a family business with three stores in the 4th District. A former classroom teacher, Hartzler served in the Missouri House of Representatives from 1995-2001, winning with an average 66 percent of the vote in her three election victories. In 2004, she was spokesperson for Missouri’s successful constitutional amendment to protect traditional marriage.
Vicky, is an extremely strong supporter of our Gun Rights, as well as a Conservative Constitutionalist, I am unable to cast a Vote for Her, as I am not in Her District, if I was there would be no other Candidate in the 4th Dist. I would vote for. To cast a Vote for Vicky Hartzler is to cast a vote for our Representative Republic, and know you have done the right thing, to put the person in a position to represent us in the U.S. House and know she will be very responsive to the People of the State of Missouri, not Nancy Pelosi, and the Democrats, Vote for Vicky Hartzler! If you don’t you get more of the same in the U.S. House, a rubber stamp for the Democratic Party, is that what you really want?
I met Vicky at a picnic and she is the real deal. In addition, the NRA’s endorsement of her opponent represents the choice of their Washington D.C. based management and not the voice of the rank and file who support Vicky.
